Evidence-Based Therapy from a Pediatric SLP
Personalized therapy for children needing communication support—delivered with heart, grounded in research.
About Me
Hi, I’m Megan Reynolds, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 10 years of experience working with children and families throughout the Denver metro area. I have expertise in supporting a diverse population of pediatric clients—ranging from infants to school-aged children—with a wide variety of diagnoses, communication styles, and developmental levels.
My professional background includes extensive work in early intervention and pediatric home health, where I’ve had the privilege of partnering closely with families in their most natural environments. I’m passionate about creating practical, play-based therapy that’s centered around each child’s strengths and interests—because learning should be fun and empowering.
As both an experienced clinician and a new mom, I understand the unique concerns and hopes that come with supporting your child’s development. My goal is to work alongside caregivers while providing empathy, clinical insight, and realistic strategies that can be used in everyday routines.
Whether your child is demonstrating emerging communication skills, working on connection with social language, or building confidence in their speech abilities, I’m here to help you be informed, supported, and encouraged throughout your child’s therapy process.
My Scope of Practice
At Shine Speech Therapy, I provide individualized, play-based speech and language therapy for children of all communication styles and abilities. I welcome and support all forms of communication — from spoken words, AAC, signs and gestures, and everything in between.
-
Helping children become more clearly understood by improving:
Articulation (specific sound errors)
Phonological processes (pattern-based sound errors)
Motor planning disorders (ex: childhood apraxia of speech and dysarthria)
Sessions are fun, engaging, and focused on helping your child communicate with confidence.
-
Supporting the development of understanding and expressing ideas through:
Receptive language (following directions, understanding questions, vocabulary)
Expressive language (using words and sentences, forming questions, telling stories)
Early language development (first words, combining words, language growth in early language learners)
Therapy goals are always individualized to meet your child where they are — and to build communication skills that support connection in everyday routines.
-
Empowering children who are non-speaking/minimally speaking or need support beyond verbal speech. I support families in exploring and using a wide range of AAC options, including:
Low-tech and no-tech AAC (pictures, communication boards, writing/spelling, drawing)
High-tech AAC (speech-generating devices, apps)
Coaching families and caregivers on AAC implementation at home and in daily life
All communication is valid. My goal is to make sure your child has access to communication and connection in any form that works for them.
-
Helping children navigate the social world by:
Understanding and using nonverbal cues (context clues, body language)
Initiating and participating in conversation
Understanding feelings and perspective-taking
Developing play and friendship-building skills
Support is individualized for children across all neurotypes in a way that honors their identity and builds on their strengths.
